Managing Director and CEO

Harald Zulauf (born 1960) studied business administration, politics and international law at University of Cologne, Georgetown University Washington, London City University and HEC Paris. After already working as a freelance journalist for German television and newspapers he became a TV correspondent for politics and business with the Westdeutscher Rundfunk and the ARD in 1985. From 1987 to 1989 he worked as a PR consultant for the Minister of Defence and later NATO Secretary-General Manfred Wörner. After the Fall of the Wall and the German Unification he worked for the German Government’s Trust Agency in the privatisation of the former East German state medias. Since 1993 he has been managing director of MEDIA CONSULTA Deutschland GmbH in Cologne, and since 2001 also CEO of MEDIA CONSULTA International Holding AG, Berlin.

Ute Gunsenheimer, MA (born 1971) studied Political Science and History in Regensburg, Leicester and Hamburg. Subsequently she worked for “Messe Berlin GmbH” (Trade Fair organisation) and the “Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations” of the leading German business associations before coordinating the “Hunzinger Public Relations GmbH” network in Central and Eastern Europe from 2000. At MEDIA CONSULTA in Berlin, she has directed several international communication projects and pan-European campaigns since 2001 (including the EU-wide campaign for the prevention of smoking among adolescents “Feel Free to Say No”, the “European Year of Education through Sport 2004” and the European Central Bank’s youth communication project “Why Price Stability”). As Head of the International Communications Department, she attends to and advises all MEDIA CONSULTA clients on an international level (including several EU Commission Directorates General, the EU Commission’s Delegation to Russia, the EU Council, Bausch & Lomb et al.) and is responsible for the conception and implementation of international integrated campaigns.

Prof. Heinz-Jürgen Kristahn

Professor Heinz-Jürgen Kristahn (born 1943) has been a creative director on the MEDIA CONSULTA Art Direction team since 2000. In 1973, Kristahn was appointed Professor of Graphic Arts/Design and Visual Communication at the Berlin State University for the Fine Arts (no known as “University of the Arts”). Since 1975 he has been director of the Institute for Communication and Design in Berlin. From 1968 to 1972 Kristahn was chief layouter for the automobile press in Stuttgart (including “auto motor und sport” and “sport auto”). Alongside his academic career, Kristahn founded the advertising agency “aesthetica” in 1989 for which he was artistic director until 1998, numbering among his clients the Berlin Sparkasse and Wall City Furnishings, as well as creating the Potsdamer Platz guidance system. For many years Professor Kristahn has maintained intensive contact with colleagues in Poland, Mexico, Japan and China has been Honorary Professor at the Zhejiang Commercial Technical College China since 2002.

Myriam Fleck

Myriam Fleck (born 1974), studied social education, anglistics and informatics in Berlin and gained additional skills as a multimedia project manager. In 2001, she founded a booking agency for artists Call an Artist GbR in Berlin. She was responsible for designing the agency’s website and for setting up a pool of artists. From 2002 to 2005, Mrs. Fleck worked for the agency HOPF Strategisches Marketing as well as for Markenreise GmbH as an event manager. She worked closely with clients including Volvo, Langnese and Konami. Since starting at MEDIA CONSULTA in 2006, Myriam Fleck has been in charge of projects for various well-known clients in the fields of politics and economy, for example the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government of Germany (BPA), the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), the Social Business Consulting mbH (GSUB) as well as Lidl. In her current position, she takes over the overall organisation, coordination and evaluation of events, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and roadshows.
